Context and justification for the present revision Pacific Islands Countries (PICs) are some of the most vulnerable to the impact of natural disasters and climate change. Fiscal policy is the main policy lever for responding to climate related shocks and climate issues have begun to take on higher prominence in the PFM workstream. The extension will enable amendment of the Contribution Agreement with the Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Centre (PFTAC) in order to increase focus on building climate resilience into Public Financial Management (PFM) in PICs. 3.
